If you want to sew your Hoodie dress without the hood, the neck facing pattern piece is included in your pattern.
Follow your assembly instructions up to step 8, then replace the hood instructions (steps 9–12) with the following substeps to sew the neckline using the neck facing instead:
A. Cut fusible interfacing using the neck facing pattern piece, excluding seam allowance. Cut 1 piece on the fold. Apply the fusible interfacing to the wrong side of the neck facing.
B. Fold the neck facing at centre front, right sides together, and sew centre back with a 1 cm seam allowance and press open the seam. Overlock the outer edge.

C. Place the neck facing right sides together with the dress, along the neck opening. Make sure the notches at the shoulder points and centre front, as well as the centre back seams, are aligned. Sew together with a 1 cm seam allowance.

D. Cut the corners of the seam allowance at centre back and make some 3 mm cuts into the seam allowance around the curved neckline. Then turn the facing to the inside of the dress and press. Finish with a 5 mm topstitch along the neckline.

Now continue with step 13 in the assembly instructions, sewing the sleeves, and follow the remaining steps until finished.
